THE MACHINE

• From stock corrugated sheet, the Rite-Size box machine can make a complete box blank in one pass; it flap scores, body creases and slots, slits to width, cuts to length, prints and stacks…ready for taping, gluing or stitching the manufacturer's joint. It can also produce blanks from sheets pre-cut to size.
• The Rite-Size box maker performs the functions of a slitter- scorer and a rotary-slotter in one operation. It's two machines in one.
• These rugged, easy to operate machines are designed to produce corrugated box blanks in short-run quantities of up to 500 per hour. Set-up is quick, less than 15-seconds for a full dimensional change. Entry of variable box data is just, L (length), W (width) & D (depth), or recall from your master inventory menu.
• When the leading edge of the corrugated sheet is fed into the machine, it sends a signal for activating each of the preset panel slots in sequence, followed by the cut-off action, which cuts the trailing edge. Each machine is equipped with a slitting head to trim the sheet to width. Electrically positioned scoring rolls produce two continuous scores along the entire length of the blank.
• Rite-Size Spot and Flexographic printers can be placed in- line with the box machine for imprinting the freight classification stamp, other box identification and sales messages without impeding production.
• This sequence of operation - feeding, slotting, cutting and printing - is repeated for each blank produced. Folding allowances are calibrated into the control program.
